Jim Wasser joined John Crane in the Chicago office in 1986 and has held a variety of positions within the Engineering department. Jim has written papers for STLE, ACHEMA, and the Turbo Pump Symposium. He holds nine patents in the field of mechanical seals and has been involved in over forty product developments. He is currently the Global Director of Design Engineering in the R&D Group, responsible for product development of wet seal, couplings, and support systems. He holds an engineering degree with a concentration in plastics engineering from Illinois State University.
