Mr. Bernd Lauter is Head of Electric Drives & Controls at Voith Digital Solutions in Heidenheim, Germany. Voith Digital Solutions combines the knowledge and expertise of digitization and automation in the Voith Group. As project leader for electrically controlled superimposing planetary gears he is responsible for R&D and managing the interdisciplinary development teams. Mr. Lauter works for Voith since 2007 when he finished University of Applied Sciences in electrical engineering at the University of Ulm. He was involved in the development of electrical drive trains for commercial vehicles and industrial projects in Voith Turbo. His group covers electrical machines and variable frequency converters for industrial and commercial vehicle applications.
